After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Maryland in 1989, Todd Stave entered the workforce as a Corporate Aircraft Broker for Universal Jet Trading in Rockville, MD. During his six year tenure there, he achieved more than $200 million in sales for the company, yielding over $19 million in commissions for the company. Todd would spend the next thirteen years acquiring, turning around, operating and selling twelve different businesses for an annual return on invested capital of at least 40% every year. With the help of a trusted staff, he identified opportunities to improve and profit from underperforming assets across a variety of industries, increasing sales and restructuring businesses before selling them for often impressive profits. He garnered an outstanding reputation in every community and industry he ventured into and improved the profitability of each business to well above industry averages. After his successful stint as an entrepreneur, Todd partnered with a private equity fund to start a company that serviced the hospitality industry – White Glove Restaurant Services. The company’s performance exceeded everyone’s expectations. After just 2 years, his investor partners were ready to position the company for sale, and bought him out. In 2010 he co-founded EnergyCruncher.com (www.energycruncher.com) were he currently spends some time as it’s CEO. EnergyCruncher.com brokers residential and small commercial energy supply contracts in deregulated markets. 98% of EnrgyCruncher.com ‘s customers are obtained through its website.
He is also partner of Potomac Business Group (PBG), a business consulting firm. His focus is working with start-up companies and turn around situations in need of entrepreneurial type help. He helps companies improve sales, profits, and brand. PBG is typically retained by banks or PE firms trying salvage their investments. On occasion they are retained to design a company or division launch.
